Southampton DIFTK Sponsored Walk
Winchester-Southampton via The Itchen Navigation (Itchen Way)
Our big event of the year is the sponsored walk from Winchester to Southampton via The Itchen Navigation (Itchen Way). It is approximately 11 miles long along the river with some great scenery. This is of course dependant on the weather as we had hoped to do this walk last year but due to flooding had to abandon it for a different route.
On our return to The Old Farmhouse,Northam, there will be a BBQ, and at 4pm we have the Hattie Jacques Playlist performing. All free to those that are walking, however there will be a £3.00 entrance fee to non walkers.
Last year we had a lot of people who were quick to put their names on the sponsor forms and then did not pay afterwards. Therefore I would suggest, where possible, people collect the money when the signatures are added prior to the walk.
If we have similar numbers doing it as last year we will again look at putting on transport from Southampton to Winchester.

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TO JOIN YOU!
